911 - What Happened?

To paraphrase Joseph Stalin, “It is not he who votes that counts, but he who counts the votes.”

Joseph Goebbels - Nazi propaganda minister:

“If you tell a lie big enough and keep repeating it, people will eventually come to believe it. The lie can be maintained only for such time as the State can shield the people from the political, economic and/or military consequences of the lie. It thus becomes vitally important for the State to use all of its powers to repress dissent, for the truth is the mortal enemy of the lie, and thus by extension, the truth is the greatest enemy of the State.”

“The most brilliant propagandist technique will yield no success unless one fundamental principle is borne in mind constantly - it must confine itself to a few points and repeat them over and over”

“Think of the press as a great keyboard on which the government can play.”

Stirring the Pot

In George Orwell’s novel, 1984, there is a character named Emmanuel Goldstein. In the story it is never made clear whether Goldstein is a real person or just a psychological concoction of the Big Brother government used to control the population through fear of terrorism. Goldstein is said to be the leader of an Al Qaeda-like group called the Brotherhood. Here is an excerpt:

Winston:

“Does the Brotherhood exist?”

O’Brien:

“That, Winston, you will never know. If we choose to set you free when we have finished with you, and if you live to be ninety years old, still you will never learn whether the answer to that question is Yes or No. As long as you live it will be an unsolved riddle in your mind.”

We know that Osama Bin Laden at least did exist and he was used in much the same way as Goldstein. They gave us the perfect Disneyesque villain to fill our imaginations - complete with turban, beard and flowing robes. He certainly is a slippery character. I think he has magical powers like Jafar in Aladdin. He just disappears.

Anyway, what we do know is that Bin Laden was CIA backed in Afghanistan (1979 - 1989). I guess he just went bad. That’s funny; we did the same thing with Saddam Hussein and the Baath Party when we supported them in a coup against the existing Iraqi government of Abdul-Karim Qassim in 1963. That’s funny; we did the same thing in Iran in 1953 when Kermit Roosevelt, head of the CIA’s middle eastern division and grandson of Teddy Roosevelt, led a coup-d’tat against the democratically elected government of Mohammed Mossadegh and then installed their puppet dictator, the Shah. That’s funny; we did the same thing when we invaded Afghanistan in 2003 and installed the…, excuse me; he was “elected”, Unocal energy company consultant Hamid Karzai to be their dicta…, I mean president.

I wonder why those people hate us so much?

And where did Iraq’s weapons of mass destruction go anyway? Well, we destroyed them in the early 1990’s after the first gulf war. Where did they come from in the first place? Well, we gave them to them before, during and after the Iran-Iraq war (1980 - 1988). Iran was also fighting with American arms which we gave them during the tenure of the Shah and after. Remember Iran-Contra? I guess the joke was on them…divide, conquer and we pick up the pieces. How Iran, Iraq, ironic!

I wonder why the world stays in such turmoil all of the time? It’s as if someone keeps stirring the pot.

Why are We in Iraq?

The why of Iraq is far broader than that on which we tend to focus. The people behind the war have a more ominous agenda than stemming the tide of terrorism. Frequently, they are the terrorists. More than simply controlling the resources of the middle east, their’s is an ancient desire of powerful men to rule the world.

We are constantly being assaulted with terms and phrases like globalism, sustainability and new world order. We were railroaded into the global economy by the removal of American jobs to places like Mexico, China and Indonesia in order to take advantage of their endless supply of slave labor. Now they say we are globally interdependent. And so we are.

Try to extend your focus beyond the particulars, and focus on the big picture. That is what they do. They aren’t concerned with what they can accomplish in Iraq with 20,000 more troops. They are plotting the demise of Iran and beyond.

They are planning to drag the entire world down into the morass of another world war. When the smoke clears, their intent is to build the new order upon the rubble of the old order. In the process, they intend to reduce the population of the earth by approximately 80 percent and rebuild their “novus ordo seclorum” with the 20 percent who survive; thereafter, maintaining the population at that level. Of course they are insane, but they believe they can make it happen.

This situation is much more apocolyptic than you may imagine. They don’t plan to be among the 80 percent. Where do you suppose they rank you?
